We Heart Utah was created by Steen and Marlena Gustafson, husband and wife who were born, raised, met, and married in the Salt Lake Valley. The blog began as a bit of a joke, when the couple sought to change the minds of those who bombarded them with explanations of "Utah is lame" and "There is nothing to do in Utah".
